About the Author
Frank V. Mastrianna is Dean Emeritus at Slippery Rock University of Pennsylvania, where he had served as dean of the College of Information Sciences and Business Administration for 15 years until his retirement in 2002. He is a graduate of Xavier University, A.B. (Honors), and the University of Cincinnati (M.A., M.C.P., and Ph.D) Prior to assuming his position at Slippery Rock University, he taught economics at the University of Cincinnati and Xavier University.
In addition to teaching and administrative responsibilities, Dr. Mastrianna has published academic papers and has made a number of presentations to both government and business audiences. He has authored and co-authored three university level text books in economics, one of which is currently in its 13th edition with South-Western Publishing. Dr.Mastrianna's areas of interests include microeconomics, industrial organization, managerial economics, and managerial finance.
He serves or has served on the board of directors of the UNIFY Mutual Holding Company, The Union Central Life Insurance Company, The Carillon Investments, The Association of Collegiate Business Schools and Programs, The Pennsylvania Economy League, The Business Assistance Center of Northwest Pennsylvania, The International Academy of Business Disciplines, and The Cincinnati Minority Contractors and Business Assistance Center.
