This is not a book for academics or students interested in auditing. However, it is not intended to be. A professional auditor, after reading this book, would most likely have an increased awareness and understanding of the potential of analytical auditing. This is particularly so for some of the more sophisticated analytical procedures suggested in the academic literature, and their implementation by way of microcomputer software. If it encourages auditors to delve more deeply into the practice applications of these methods the book will have served its purpose.”–
