Editorial Reviews
Book Description
While virtual studio technology is revolutionary, it is also linked to existing T.V. studio equipment and must function as an integral part of it. The first comprehensive overview of virtual studio technology and its practical applications in broadcast stations this book provides a technical overview of each of the main systems on the market, the kinds of programming that are best suited to it, and specific details on its integration into the broadcast station and the production process itself. A companion CD-ROM demonstrates typical and interesting virtual studio productions.

From the Publisher
On the one hand, virtual studio technology is revolutionary, but it is also linked to existing TV studio equipment and must function as an integral part of it. This technology will no doubt change the look of many TV/cable programs in the years to come as studio scenery is no longer limited to what can be built out of existing materials such as wood, cardboard, and metal, and to textures produced by paint and brushes. Virtual scenery elements will be perceived in three-dimensional space, not attached to or constrained in any way by physical limitations.
